Industry Certificate
A personal learning course for those in the Dental Industry.
COURSE FORMAT
Upon enrolling in the course, participants will receive a set of learning resources to self-learn over approximately three months prior to the two day workshop scheduled for September 2026. At the workshop we invite dentists and top industry trainers to present on each of the modules.

MODULE 3: ORAL HYGIENE AIDS
MODULE 4: DIAGNOSIS & RADIOGRAPHY
MODULE 5: RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
MODULE 6: DENTAL TECHNOLOGY & LABORATORY PROCEDURES
MODULE 7: THE DENTAL ENVIRONMENT & EQUIPMENT
MODULE 8: INFECTION CONTROL IN DENTISTRY
MODULE 9: MINOR ORAL SURGERY, ANAESTHESIA & SEDATION
The course is ideal for:
Employees within a company supplying dental products
Experienced sales staff recently recruited into the dental industry
Front-line customer service and administrative staff
The New Zealand Dental Industry Certificate is a modular educational self-learning course, followed up by a two-day workshop in September that introduces the professions, techniques and products used in contemporary dentistry. It is a customised programme that has been used successfully around the world.
To assist course participants in gaining the maximum benefit from the programme, a detailed set of self-learning materials is distributed 3-4 months prior to the two-day workshop. Successful completion of the self-learning programme and workshop will prepare students for the New Zealand Dental Industry Certification examination.

2 hour exam (in Auckland)
Students who attend both full days of the workshop will receive 10% towards the final exam mark.
