The purpose of the Code is to ensure high ethical standards and socially acceptable behaviour within the Dental Industry and ensure that the Oral Healthcare Professional, the Regulator and the New Zealand community can have confidence in their dealings with the Dental Industry, and its Products.

The Code ensures that the selection of diagnostic and treatment pathways by dental professionals is made free of any undue influence on the part of the dental industry.
